Homemade & Healthy Pizza Date

So, it may seem like a super obvious post to write about. How hard can it be to make pizza? Why’s that something to write about? But it’s not necessarily the pizza I’m talking about, it’s all about the date night! And finding simple ways to spend time together with your SO. Why not use an easy, quick recipe, with cheap items, while you stay at home, and make a date out of it? That’s what Sam and I did tonight!

Prep time: 5 minutes to however long you want to make your date night last!

Ingredients:

  • Pizza Crust (You can either get refrigerated pizza crust and bake it, or use the pre-baked crusts. Or, if you’re feeling really ballsy and have lots of time on your hands, buy ingredients to make your own crust. We bought Simply Balanced Organic Crust.)
  • Pizza Sauce (I bought a bigger jar of it because we make homemade pizzas often. We bought Simply Balanced Organic Sauce.)
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Olive Oil (Optional, we spread it on the crust before we put on the sauce.)
  • Any toppings that you want! (Pepperoni, Chicken, Sausage, Peppers, Olives, etc. We used Turkey Pepperoni, it tastes the same to me, and it’s healthier!)

It’s all about the making the most of the little moments. Plus, how can you ever go wrong with pizza?!

  1. I love this. Sometimes you just need to find a way to have a cheap date night. Or maybe out of your 5 sitters none are free (this happens too often for us!) It’s better to get creative then just sitting on the couch!

  2. The pizza recipe looks quick and easy. My husband and I usually do pizza saturdays! I’ve been making Tasty’s recipe for their pizza bread bowl occassionally. Its very delish but quite the production. I do something similiar to this recipe for my son though.

  3. My family and I have recently gotten into making homemade pizzas! A lot of pizza places will give you dough and sauce to take home and make yourself. That makes it so easy for a quick meal. Plus, you are right, so much healthier than ordering at a pizza joint!
